Quietly, Stuart Percy is having a tremendous start to the season on the Toronto Maple Leafs blue line. He has arguably been the Leafs best defenceman early this season after working hard to earn a spot in training camp. An injury to Cody Franson, helped Percy get in the line-up for opening night, but make no mistake he earned that start and has not looked back since.
Percy is a natural play-maker and a guy who loves to have the puck on his stick. He’s great at puck possession in all three zones and is a real treat to watch. He’s not going to be over the top fast or physical, but when he gets the puck look out, because it’s quickly heading up ice to a streaking forward.
