Winnipeg Jets: Top 3 Prospects
Adam Lowry – St. Johns Icecaps
Adam Lowry is the closest of the three prospects to joining the Jets and having a solid impact having one full year of AHL hockey under his belt. The 21 year-old forward was drafted by the Jets in the 3rd round of the 2011 draft after a 45 point season with the Swift Current Bronco’s. He played two more years with the Bronco’s elevating his points to 88 in his final year and then moved onto the AHL. This year with the Icedogs he recorded 33 points in 64 games and will look to lead them into a deep AHL playoff run.
Lowry was a finalist for the CHL player of the year in 2013 after winning the WHL player of the year award and has improved in his game over the last few seasons. He’s a strong skater and has the potential to be a sleeper pick in the NHL. He’ll likely need another year of AHL seasoning, however Adam Lowry is a prospect on the up for the Winnipeg Jets.
