Nic Petan- Portland Winterhawks

Petan is currently leading the way for the Winterhawks in their WHL playoff run to the WHL Championships. He recorded a hat trick in his last game and has an impressive 19 points in 13 playoff games for the Winterhawks. The 19 year-old centre was selected in the 2nd round of the 2013 draft by the Winnipeg Jets. This season for the Winterhawks Petan recorded 113 points in just 63 games and was named a first team all star of the WHL.

Nic Petan is a play maker and very skilled forward with solid skating ability. He’s only 5 foot 9 which will limit him in the NHL, however he does play much bigger than his size indicates. If Petan can bulk up a little more than he should be able to have a solid impact with the Jets in the NHL when the time is right.
