6. Darnell Nurse – Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds

Darnell Nurse was snubbed after not being named to team Canada for the World Juniors and went from an impressive 32 points in 29 games; to just 18 points in 35 games. However, while Nurse wasn’t scoring he was maturing as a defencman getting ready to take his game to the next level. Much like Zadorov, Nurse has the size  6-foot-4, 185, and edge to his game to be a top pairing NHL defenceman who sets the tone for a game with his punishing hits. The Oilers are in need of some solid defenceman and they have an exceptional one in Darnell Nurse, don’t be surprised to see him make the leap straight to the NHL blue line next season.
