Curtis Lazar is a tricky little prospect. Depending on who you ask, some have Lazar inside the top 5 and others have him outside the top 10 of future NHL prospects. He was selected 17th overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 2013 NHL draft and is captain material. He leads by examples with his character, heart and work-ethic both on and off the ice. Curtis Lazar is the type of player who can turn any team into a contender with his ability to chip in on offence. He racked up 76 points in 58 games for the Oil Kings and has 16 points in 13 playoff games for the Oil Kings thus far.

Whether you want Lazar to be a top 6 scorer or a shutdown forward, it doesn’t matter, he’ll do it. His game is very adaptable to any forward position and he’ll play on both the penalty kill and the power play. He’s got top calibre potential and is a solid leader. He probably wont make the lead to the NHL next season but he isn’t far off.
