The Detroit Red Wings have themselves a gem in Anthony Mantha. The prospect is a pure sniper who has a nose for the soft areas and open ice. He’s strong and hard for the opposition to contain in the corners as he uses his 6 foot 4 frame to defend the puck. The big winger is easily a lock to be a top 6 forward in the NHL going forward with his shot and his skating ability.

He recorded 75 in 57 games this season in the QMJHL and an impressive 22 points in 14 playoff games for the Val d’Or Foreurs. He was taken 20th in the 2013 draft by the Red Wings and has all the potential to be a steal of a pick the Wings are so good at finding. He also had an impressive showing for Canada at the World Juniors recording 11 points and 5 goals.
