Jeremy Bracco – Where Will He Play Next Year?

facebooktwitterreddit

Earlier on Friday, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reported that Jeremy Bracco decommitted from Boston College and will play for the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL.

A little later in the day, Jeremy Bracco took to Twitter to say that the rumors are false and he’ll be heading to Boston College in the fall.

So that discussion is finished, right? Not so fast.

Portzline continued to tweet out after Bracco “shut down” the rumors.

I think the last tweet from Portzline says the most about the subject. Bracco can’t publicly say that he has not decided on his future after making the commitment to Boston College until he is going. Logically, that makes sense.

So who’s pulling on Jeremy Bracco to play in the OHL? Likely most of the members of the Toronto Maple Leafs management. Mark Hunter and Kyle Dubas each have experience in the OHL. They are likely telling Bracco that it is the best path for him on his way to the NHL.

If anyone has seen Bracco’s post-draft interviews, he genuinely looked excited when talking about playing in Boston College. However there is likely a lot of pressure to play in the OHL coming from Leafs management.

Where do you think Jeremy Bracco will play next season? Let us know in the comment section and in the poll below!

Jeremy Bracco was taken by the Toronto Maple Leafs at 61st overall in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft.
