11. Florida Panthers

11. player. 87. Could Lawson Crouse fall to 11 in June? It’s quite the possibility. Crouse has been widely criticized for his lack of scoring at the junior level (73 points in 119 OHL games). Crouse is a very physical forward who uses his body to dominate on the forecheck. Crouse is a monster on the puck and it is almost impossible to get him off it. There is work to be done on his skating and quickness, but the power in his body and hands are all there. With prospect Zach Hyman traded to the Leafs, the Panthers could fill his void with an even better player.. Left Wing. Kingston (OHL). Lawson Crouse

12. Dallas Stars

Sarnia (OHL). Pavel Zacha. 12. player. 119. Pavel Zacha has been shadowed by some of the talent that is present inside the top 10 in this year’s draft, which is good for teams outside the top 10. In any other draft Zacha could make an argument for a top 10 decision. Zacha is a much more skilled power forward. He isn’t afraid to use his body and often does. He also is good with the puck and is patient. His vision is decent and he could use work on his skating. He can play center or the wing which would add to the depth that the Stars have, but would also fill some much needed depth that the Stars do not have in their pipeline.. Center

13. Los Angeles Kings

67. There is a very strong chance that the Kings will draft a defenseman with the 13th pick and Zboril is the best one available for this mock draft. Zboril is a low risk, high reward player that sticks to his strengths. He moves the puck very well and has underrated hands to boot. The Kings will be satisfied with a defenseman as skilled as Zboril is but there is a possibility that a D-man ranked higher slips down past the top 10, in which case I think the Kings will try a snag him.. Defense. Saint John (QMJHL). Jakub Zboril. 13. player

14. Boston Bruins

70. The way Travis Konecny plays fits fairly well with how Bruins hockey has been played the past few years. He is a skilled competitor that showcases plenty of heart in his game. He is a good skater, he uses his edges well and can turn quickly. Konecny has been a great scorer throughout the season too. He scores 29 goals and 39 assists as the Ottawa 67’s captain this year.. Right Wing. Ottawa (OHL). Travis Konecny. 14. player

15. Calgary Flames

Center/Right Wing. Kelowna (WHL). Nick Merkley. 15. player. 112. The Flames have seen successful drafting work in their favor (see Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan, Sam Bennett). A player like Nick Merkley could certainly end up on that list of contributing Calgary Flames. He has played center mostly for Kelowna, but he can be used to fill the needed depth the Flames have a the right wing position. He has skills and smarts. Merkley moves the puck very well to his teammates and knows who to dish the puck to at the right time.
