Texas Stars Unveil New Logos

Earlier on Thursday the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League unveiled a new logo and color scheme for the 2015-16 season and beyond.

The Texas Stars are the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, so it was a no brainer that their new logos and colors resemble that of their parent team.

In the summer of 2013, the Dallas Stars revealed a new shade of green that would be reflect a new era of the Dallas Stars franchise. The new shade of green, appropriately titled “Victory Green” was unveiled with new home and away jerseys.

Since purchasing the Dallas Stars, Tom Gaglardi also purchased the Texas Stars to ensure that the Stars will have deep roots in the state of Texas. It was a no brainer to rebrand the Texas Stars to resemble those of the Dallas Stars.

“We’re thrilled with the new look for the Texas Stars and it represents the next phase of what we set out to accomplish when we purchased the franchise.” said Jim Lites, President, CEO and Alternate Governor of the Dallas Stars.

The new Texas Stars logo is from the road jerseys that the Stars used in the past two seasons. This logo will likely be featured on home and road jerseys.

The circular logo, or ’roundel’ is Texas Stars wrapped around the Texas state flag. This logo will likely be featured on the shoulders of jerseys but would look very nice on an alternate jersey.

The new home and road jerseys have not been shown yet and will be revealed later this summer. They will likely adopt the same jersey template that the Dallas Stars use.
