Bruins Sign Anton Blidh To Entry-Level Contract

The Boston Bruins have announced that the team has signed left winger Anton Blidh to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The 6’-0” 187 pound Molnlycke, Sweden native was the Bruins sixth round pick (180th overall) in the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft. He has been playing in the Swedish Elite League since the 2013-14 season with the Frolunda HC team, he’s appeared in 72 games, only scoring 5 goals, and 5 assists. In 19 total playoff games for Frolunda in the past two seasons, he has contributed 2 goals, and 2 assists.

Blidh is a gritty forward that puts a lot of energy into his game. He is a very good shot blocker, and an aggressive penalty killer. Also known as a player to get underneath the skin of opposing players, and also has an uncanny ability to skate hard to the net.
