A Quick Rundown of How Prospects Are Ranked

Mikko Rantanen (1st EU)

Mikko Rantanen is ranked 1st among European skaters and I totally agree. During the World Juniors Rantanen showed that he was always causing problems for opposing defenses.

Agree/Disagree: Agree

Jansen Harkins (15 NA)

Jansen Harkins is a underrated prospect that I think will turn heads at the 2015 U18 World Championships in Switzerland. A solid two way center that will help out any team that drafts him. Harkins will only get better as he gains experience and size.

Agree/Disagree: Agree

Vince Dunn (32 NA)

Vince Dunn is a defenseman for the OHL’s Niagara IceDogs who really came alive in the first round of the playoffs. What people don’t realize is that Dunn has a been playing with that skill and intensity for the whole season. He had 54 points in 67 games as a 2nd year defenseman. He is a puck possession type of player, and with the rising popularity of systems that deal with possession and advanced analytics he should be in the 20s.

Agree/Disagree: Dissagre

Nikita Korostelev (50 NA)

Nikita Korostelev started the year as a late 1st round prospect but has fallen considerably due to injury and holes found in his play. Korostelev is all offense. He has a very good shot and uses it often but when it comes to the defensive zone he is behind the rest of the pack. He can throw the body and throw it hard, but just doesn’t have the same two way skills that a 1st round pick should have.
