ECHL Stingrays Snap 23 Game Winning Streak

The East Coast Hockey League’s longest winning streak came to an end tonight, as the South Carolina Stingrays lost to the Indy Fuel by the score of 3-2. The loss snaps a very impressive 23 game streak as their season is about to end with five games remaining.

Rookie goaltender Keegan Asmundson made is professional debut tonight, after being added to the roster earlier today, but suffered the loss in his appearance with 20 saves, on 23 shots.

The Stingrays get back to work as they travel to Evansville to take on the last place team in the Eastern Conference, the 14-43-5-3 IceMen at 6pm EST. The Stingrays are in fifth place in the East with a 41-19-1-6 record, and have clinched a playoff spot with 89 points.
