Cunningham Claimed Off Waivers
By Mark Allred

Yesterday, the Boston Bruins placed forward Craig Cunningham on waivers for the purpose of sending him to the Bruins top minor league affiliate, the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League. Cunningham was claimed by the Arizona Coyotes off of waivers moments ago.
Everyone on waivers cleared yesterday except for ARI's two claims -- McGinn from SJS and Cunningham from BOS. #tradecentre

Hate to see Craig Cunningham go, but this could be a good break for him. Should get a strong opportunity to be an NHL regular in Arizona.

The 24 year-old Cunningham was a fourth round selection (97th overall) in 2010, and in 226 games for the AHL Bruins, he has posted 70-59-129 totals with the Bruins top minor league affiliate. He has also appeared in 34 games for the NHL Bruins posting 2-1-3 totals in the National Hockey League.
