NHL Season Preview: Rookie Goalies To Watch
Frederik Andersen
Despite the fact Federik Andersen played in 28 games with the Ducks last season, the 24 year-old netminder can certainly be classified as a rookie for next season. The Ducks had an abundance of goaltenders in their crease last season before they traded away almost everyone to go with the future. John Gibson is still a ways away from full time NHL action which leaves the crease to Andersen and Jason Labarbera.

Most believe Andersen will get the first crack at the crease after posting a 2.29 goals against average and .923 save percentage while going 20-5-0. He also appeared in 7 playoff games for the Ducks but didn’t fare nearly as well.
Goaltending is going to be a major question mark for the Ducks this season. They have the offence and defence to excel but will their goaltending stand the test?
