Connor McDavid Sweepstakes Who Has the Best Chance?

The Buffalo Sabres were really bad last season, like really, really bad. They had all-star goaltender Ryan Miller for half the season and still barely looked like a AHL team on good nights. Their woes were aided by their league worst 1.83 goals per game average and some lacklustre coaching. For the upcoming season the Sabres have definitely approved. Sure they bought-out their best defenceman in Christian Ehrhoff, but they did manage to land Matt Moulson, Josh Gorges and Brian Gionta. However, it wouldn’t be hard to see the Sabres still finish dead last in the league with their improvements. It’s okay though Sabres fans, with your wealth of prospect talent, the woes shouldn’t last too much longer.

Michal Neuvirth and Jhonas Enroth will do a decent job between the pipes, Cody Hodgson and Tyler Ennis should continue to score and the Sabres will look more like a mismatched NHL team next season but their playoff dreams won’t come true next season.

Landing Connor McDavid would help put the Sabres prospect system, which is arguably the best in the league, over the top. Sure they all have to pan out, but they have some insanely talented players waiting at the wings.
