While the Oilers didn’t get the high impact defenceman they were looking for, they did get a exceptional forward talent to add to their young pool. The Oilers do have a plethora of young forwards and don’t need him next season, but with a busy offseason expected and the skills Draisaitl possess it wouldn’t be a long shot to see him in the NHL next season. Expect the Oilers to give this kid every opportunity to make the team out of camp.
