NHL Draft: 5 Possible Surprises

The Buffalo Sabres are the wild card team of the top 3. Their General Manager Tim Murray has already stated he doesn’t believe Aaron Ekblad is the guy the Sabres need, but has also stated the Sabres won’t draft based on current need choosing to do so on future needs. He’s also said he isn’t looking for a player that can step into the NHL tomorrow. The most likely option for the Buffalo Sabres with the second overall pick is Sam Bennett. However, Leon Draisaitl is a guy who has been getting a lot of attention as of late for his tremendous skill sets and what he brings to the table.

Tim Murray wants to take the Buffalo Sabres in a different direction and making a bold move with the 2nd overall pick and taking Draisaitl over Bennett might be his best option.
