Leon Draisaitl
This 6’1″, 208lbs, German left winger has caught the eye of many within the scouting community. He has been compared to Jaromir Jagr and put up 105 points in the WHL (38G, 67A in 64GP). Draisaitl is the top ranked winger in this years draft class because both Sam’s are centers and Ekblad is a defenseman.
Although Draisaitl will help whichever team he is drafted by, the Oilers would have a hard time finding a place for him. They have two good left wingers already in Taylor Hall and David Perron. Therefore, it would be difficult for Draisaitl to get a chance to play a top six role in the upcoming years. However, if Draisaitl is the best available player at number three, the Oilers would be wise to take him.
