Sam Reinhart

This 6’1″, 186lbs center has spent  the last three seasons with Kootenay of the WHL. He has averaged over a  point per game in each of the last two seasons including a 105 point season (36G, 69A, in 60GP) in 2013-2014. According to the Director of NHL Central Scouting, Dan Marr, Reinhart is an

"Exceptional player with the puck, his offensive hockey sense is off the charts with his vision and playmaking. A good skater whose top-end speed can still improve. A responsible player who quietly leads his team."

Although the Oilers are stacked with high end forward talent, adding a player like Reinhart would put them in better long-term shape. Ryan Nugent Hopkins is the top line center of the future and Sam Gagner is playing behind him. Trade rumors have already begun surrounding Gagner and they would only intensify if the Oilers drafted Reinhart.

A one-two punch of Nugent-Hopkins/Reinhart down the middle would be a sensational duo for the Edmonton Oilers.
