Daniel Altshuller- Oshawa Generals

With the uncertainty of Cam Ward’s future between the pipes in Carolina, Daniel Altshuller becomes a key piece for the Hurricanes moving forward. This year with the Generals saw his game improve greatly and turn a lot of heads around the league. Altshuller went 31-13-3 posting a 2.56 Goals Against Average and .917 Save Percentage. He also backstopped the Generals in the post season and was one of the leagues top netminders.

Daniel Altshuller is thought to be the Carolina Hurricanes top goaltender prospect who is capable of fighting for the crease in the future. However, with the acquisition of Anton Khudobin he might have to wait a little longer for his chance at the crease. He played his third year with the Generals this season and is eligible for one more season before having to join the AHL, however it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see him battling in the AHL next season.
