Petter Granberg– Toronto Marlies

Rounding out our trio of Toronto Maple Leafs prospects, is another Marlies rookie in Petter Granberg who travelled over from Sweden for his Marlies debut. After an impressive showing at the 2013 World Juniors with Sweden helping the team capture the gold, Granberg was set to play for the Marlies. In his rookie year he recorded 7 points in 73 games while earning 1 game for the Leafs.

He’s a steady defenceman who plays a very simple and sometimes physical game. He was taken by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 4th round of the 201o draft and has solid NHL size at 6 foot 3 and 190 pounds. He’s solid on the blueline but will never give a team big scoring.
