Winnipeg Jets: Top 3 Prospects
Josh Morrissey- Prince Albert Raiders
Josh Morrissey just finished an impressive point per game season with the Raiders in the WHL recording 59 points in 59 games. For his hard work he earned a call-up to the St. John’s Icecaps of the AHL where suited up for 8 games and recorded 1 point. He had 3 points in 4 playoff games with the Raiders in a very busy and point filed season for Morrissey. The defenceman is back with the Icecaps and hoping to help lead their playoff run now that he has gained some more of the team’s trust with his stronger play.
Morrissey is a key guy on the powerplay and a very keen puck carrier who is not afraid to jump into the rush and make something happen for his team. He just finished his 4th season with the Raiders which means he’ll likely be given a shot to make the Jets roster out of training camp. The defenceman was named a first team all star for his play in the WHL this season.
