With all the talk heading into the 2014 draft about Sam Reinhart, already drafted brother Griffin often get’s forgotten. However the elder and defencive Griffin is doing just fine awaiting his NHL turn with the Edmonton Oil Kings in the WHL. At 6 foot 4 and 202 pounds, Reinhart is expected to mould into a solid stay at home defenceman who holds the gate for his NHL club. He’s had 4 solid years of junior hockey and will now need to make the leap to pro and the question now becomes how long will it take Griffin Reinhart to become the stay at home defenceman.

Reinhart racked up 21 points in 45 games for the Oil King this season and has been a big part of their WHL playoff run. If the Oil Kings are to have any shot at Memorial Cup dreams, then Reinhart will need to be at his best.
