The Abbotsford Head have been in the new for all the wrong reason’s after racking up a loss of $12 million this season. However, it’s important to note that they are in the AHL playoffs and have a chance to turn around their bad publicity from this season. They were led on offence this season by Max Reinhart (63 points) and Ben Street (60 points) while Joni Ortio held down the fort between the pipes. With their last season in the AHL at hand, the Heat will want to go out with a bang in front of their fans.

The Grand Rapids Griffins on the other hand are the defending Calder Cup Champions and are poised to make another deep playoff run. The Griffins have had a tough season with all the injuries to the Detroit Red Wings who have had to utilize many AHL stars. However, they managed to make the post season and are looking to use Detroit magic to help them advance. Teemu Pulkkinen and Adam Almquist have led the team offencively, while Petr Mrazek and Tom McCollum have split time between the pipes.
