The Boston Bruins farm team seems to be just as lethal as their NHL club and with Malcolm Subban between the pipes things look good playoff wise. The managed to upset the Monarchs with a 2-1 victory to clinch a playoff spot and are out for blood in the playoffs. Despite finishing lower than the Falcons, the Bruins will get the chance to open their playoff season on home ice. The Bruins will rely on the offence of Ryan Spooner and 2013 NHL draft pick Seth Griffith, alongside Malcolm Subban to upset the Falcons.

The Falcons strength this season comes from their strong leadership groups which helped steer them to the Calder Cup playoffs. The teams captain Ryan Craig has provided great leadership alongside AHL veterans Patrick McNeill, Darryl Boyce. The leadership core and the strong play from their defenceman of the year Cody Bass will be key in advancing past the first round.
