The Chicago Wolves start off the month of December by leaving a four-game losing streak in the dust after winning 3-1 against the Peoria Rivermen. They look to create a streak on the winning end of things against the Grand Rapids Griffins Friday evening.
Yesterday the team announced that they had reassigned Alex Mallet to Kalamazoo of the ECHL. He appeared in 13 games with the Wolves this season and registered 7 penalty minutes.
Taking an even closer look at the recent call-ups to the Wolves, Darren Archibald has been making a name for himself since being called up on the 26th of November. He’s registered 10 shots, two of them resulting in goals in last weekend’s three-in-three stint.
The Griffins are currently one point out of first place in the Midwest Division and are looking to take control against the Wolves. Last week they were able to hold on through Saturday’s game, but fell out of the position on Sunday after Rockford won their third straight game.
Currently the Griffins hold a 2-0 advantage against the Wolves in the series with a 3-2 overtime victory on October 28 and 4-3 victory on the 23rd of November. Face-off is at 7:30pm CT and can be heard online on AHL Live and are live on My50 Chicago.
