Today the Bruins finish their third game of a three-game packed weekend with a matinee game against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.  This is the second meeting between these two teams with the Tigers winning 4-2 on October 13.  Providence is coming off of a 2-1 victory last night against the Portland Pirates and have five points in their last six games.

The Tigers are also coming off of a victory after beating the Manchester Monarchs last night 4-0 and are looking for a win-streak.  They seem to have had good luck last season at the Dunk as they went 3-1-0-0 last season and outscored them by a margin of 13-8.

Last time the two teams met Maxime Sauve and Craig Cunningham were the only Bruins able to get on the score board.  This afternoon Torey Krug is looking to add his name to the score sheet after being robbed of his goal last night against the Pirates.  Ryan Spooner and Chris Bourque are also looking to register points after registering one a piece, placing them as the top two points leaders on the team.

For the Sound Tigers the man looking for a streak is Matt Watkins who scored two goals last night in the Tiger’s shutout victory against Manchester.  Goaltender Anders Nilsson is also looking to pick up his fourth consecutive win and possibly his second shutout going into this afternoon.  Nino Niederreiter is also making waves for the Tigers as he registered a goal last night extending his point streak to seven games.

Face off is at 3:05PM ET and if you aren’t in the Providence area you can catch the game on AHL Live.
