Amerks Introduce New Third Jersey

The AHL’s Rochester Americans introduced Thursday the team’s new third jersey, a red compliment to their current blue and white jerseys.

The jersey will be worn a number of times this upcoming season, and is similar in some aspects to the red jersey worn numerous times in the franchise’s history.

The last time the Amerks wore a red jersey was during the 2008-09 season.

According to a team press release, the jersey also includes a white lace-up neck, white stars on each shoulder and blue and white horizontal stripes across each arm and the bottom of the sweater.

With the new third, the Amerks have a complete “red, white, and blue” set of jerseys for the upcoming season.
