Less than seven months from now, Chicago’s Soldier Field will host four NCAA Division I hockey teams in the inaugural Hockey City Classic.

Notre Dame, Miami, Minnesota and Wisconsin will compete in doubleheaders at the stadium on February 17, 2013. Times for the games will be announced at a later date, but ticket information has been released already; tickets will go on sale to the public through Ticketmaster on October 1.

The event will be preceded by two weeks of hockey events, ice rentals and free public ice-skating, as well as other events.

Soldier Field, for the record, is the home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears and holds 61,500 people.

This past season’s records for the participating teams:

  • Notre Dame: 19-18-3
  • Miami (Ohio): 23-13-2
  • Minnesota: 16-12-1
  • Wisconsin: 17-18-2
