The Gophers have 14 points in their first 8 WCHA games, the first time they have won 7 of their first 8 WCHA games since 1990.

After allowing a single goal in three of the team’s first
four games, CC has given up 7 and 5 in two of the last three.

The Eagles were shutout by archrival BU on Sunday for the first time since 1983.
5. Ferris State (9-2-1) (5-2-1) Up 2
The Bulldogs are allowing 1.58 goals per game, third best in the nation, and a number that actually went down over the weekend as they allowed just two total goals vs. Lake State.

The Bulldogs sit in a three way tie for first in ECAC Hockey and while they have normally gotten it done offensively it is the defense that has stood out for Yale this year: the Bulldogs have the nation’s best penalty kill and 2nd best scoring defense.
