Even with the latest round of conference re-shuffling, it looks like Huntsville will be on the outside looking in, and while I think there are teams who could survive as an independent, Huntsville is one of the teams least likely to do so. The Huntsville chancellor, Malcolm Portera, has been rumored to have tabbed UAH hockey as too expensive and on its way back to club status.
