Northern Michigan Board Unanimously Votes To Seek WCHA Membership

The dominoes keep officially falling. After it was reported that NMU would leave the CCHA and go back to the WCHA, their Board of Trustees unanimously voted to make that happened. NMU leaving the CCHA, which is all but dead is no shock, but they will actually be a key member in the WCHA. With only Anchorage, Michigan Tech, St. Cloud, Minnesota State and Bemidji State, the WCHA needed a sixth team to maintain an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament without having to get an exemption.
