The New Conference Has a Name

On a conference call this morning, the name for the new super conference has a name: The National Collegiate Hockey Conference. Personally I think it sounds pretty stupid and uninventive (though I suppose it leaves open a lot of room to expand and avoids any pitfalls of a Big 10 type deal).

Still, I can think of plenty of better names, such as these. Or, as a means to raise revenue, why not have corporations buy the conference name for a set period of time? I know I would like to see the Wal-Mart conference or the Netflix conference in action.
