Congratulations to Miami Senior Andy Miele for winning the Hobey Baker Award tonight. Miele led the nation with 71 points and also led the nation in scoring 1.82 points per game. His point total is highest for a Hobey winner since Peter Sejna.

Miele becomes the fourth Senior in a row to win the award, following Kevin Porter, Matt Gilroy and Blake Geoffrion. The last underclassman to win it was North Dakota’s Ryan Duncan in 2007 when he was a Sophomore.

Miele signed an entry level deal with the Phoenix Coyotes last week.
