Minnesota-Duluth 4, Notre Dame 3: The Bulldogs overcame a couple of soft goals let in by Kenny Reiter by scoring a couple of their own, and scoring three power play goals, going 3 for 6 on the power play. Though Notre Dame outshot the Bulldogs 34-21 Duluth got goals from both Jack and Mike Connolly as well as JT Brown and Kyle Schmidt and Reiter held on just enough to propel Duluth to the title game.

Michigan 2, North Dakota 0: In one of the bigger upsets in the national semis, Shaun Hunwick stole the show, stopping all 40 North Dakota shots. Despite outshooting the Wolverines 40-20, the Sioux couldn’t put the puck in the net. They were 0-4 on the power play. Aaron Dell made 18 saves, letting in his only goal when both he and Ben Blood lost the puck a bit in front of the net, where it was put in by Ben Winnett. Scooter Vaughan added an empty netter. Michigan will look for their 10th national title on Saturday.
