Coyotes Sign Miele

Hobey Baker hat trick finalist Andy Miele has signed with the Phoenix Coyotes org, and I am assuming will report to their AHL affiliate in San Antonio. Miele led the nation with 71 points this year, and led the nation in PPG with 1.82. He was just 13th in goals per game, but he is at the very least a co-favorite for the Hobey with Matt Frattin.

Miele had 44 points last year, and 31 as a Sophomore. He had some academic issues early in his career, delaying his joining the RedHawks, but it’s nice to see he rebounded from that and went on to have a great college career. Seeing Miele play a handful of times this year I was really impressed not only with his scoring ability but his vision on the ice and his knack for anticipating plays. That should translate into the NHL and I think he’ll have a nice career.

Hopefully he likes Winnipeg.
