Niagara 5, RIT 2: RIT already has the Atlantic Hockey regular season title wrapped up, but Niagara looks like a serious threat in the tournament. They are really good. And what’s more, Atlantic Hockey looks like it has 4 teams that could win an NCAA tournament game. All five conferences are strong right now and that is great for college hockey (until Penn State comes and ruins it all). Paul Zannette had his 26th and 27th goals of the year.
Dartmouth 4, St. Lawrence 2: Adam Estoclet had the game tying and game winning goals, his 12th and 13th of the year, as the Big Green moved into 3rd in ECAC Hockey.
Colgate 1, Yale 1: A disappointing tie for the Bulldogs, who stay one point behind Union. Eric Mihalik had 39 saves for Colgate.
Boston College 4, UMass 3: BC has struggled a bit defensively lately, but their offense keeps on clicking. Brian Gibbons had his 14th and Jimmy Hayes his 16th in the win. Cam Atkinson had 3 assists.
Minnesota 5, Michigan Tech 2: Nick Bjugstad had his 4th and 5th goals of the year, and Jacob Cepis had his team leading 11th as the Gophers leaped over Wisconsin into 5th place in the WCHA.
Nebraska-Omaha 5, Denver 2: Omaha did some leapfrogging of their own as they now sit in 2nd in the WCHA. Rich Purslow had a great shorthanded goal and added an empty netter, and also added an assist. Drew Shore potted his 20th of the year for Denver.
