Northeastern head coach Craig Cronin and assistant Albie O’Connell have been suspended indefinitely according to the school. The suspensions are due to recruiting violations, specifically involving phone and text messages.

Northeastern has had several great recruiting coups as of late, including Jamie Oleksiak, who will probably be a first rounder in this summer’s NHL Draft. They also have gotten commitments from Adam Reid, who plays on the NTDP and Cameron Darcy, who is on the NTDP U-17 team.

Northeastern is currently in 6th in the Hockey East standings, and they lost the Beanpot championship game in overtime.
