Union 3, Yale 2: I mentioned that if Union was going to pull the upset they would need to cash in on the power play, and they got PP goals by Daniel Carr and Wayne Simpson to upset the #1 team in the country.

Colorado College 4, North Dakota 2: Jason Gregoire scored both Sioux goals but it wasn’t enough as Joe Howe stood tough and Colorado College got three first period goals by three Freshmen. The game was definitely marred by a Chay Genoway injury early in the game. The 5th year Senior captain suffered a lower body injury and did not leave the ice under his own power.

Robert Morris 6, Niagara 5: Brian Haczyk and Paul Zanette each scored their 22nd goals of the season, but it was the Colonials who got out of there with the win. Fun fact: the 6 Robert Morris goal scorers in regulation’s goal totals on the season add up to 22, or the same as each of Haczyk and Zanette’s total.

RPI 3, Brown 0: Chase Polacek scored his 15th of the year and Allen York stopped all 36 shots he faced as RPI won their tuneup before tomorrow night’s Big Red Freakout game.
