Minnesota 3, North Dakota 2: The Sioux outshot Minnesota 39-27, but Nico Sacchetti’s third period goal gave the Gophers the win. Mike Hoeffel also scored for the Gophers and Jason Gregoire scored in his return to the Sioux lineup. The game was marred by a bench clearing brawl after the second period.
Minnesota-Duluth 2, Wisconsin 0: Justin Fontaine and Mike Connolly each scored his 13th goal of the season and Kenny Reiter saved all 22 Wisconsin shots as the Bulldogs moved into a 1st place tie in the WCHA.
Union 2, Colgate 1: Wayne Simpson and Josh Jooris scored for the Dutchmen, and Keith Kinkaid saved all 24 Colgate shots in the win.
Michigan 3, Ferris State 2: Ferris State scored the first two goals of the game but Michigan scored three unanswered to take it, capped by a Chris Brown winner with just a minute left in the second.
Notre Dame 2, Alaska 1: A late extra attacker goal by Aaron Gens is all that spoiled Mike Johnson’s shutout. Johnson had 34 saves for the Irish, who got goals from Anders Lee and Nick Larson.
