Thanksgiving weekend always gives us some great non-conference series (and some good conference ones), so let’s check it out:
Wisconsin 4, Michigan 4: Justin Schultz had his 6th goal of his career for Wisconsin, and Michigan’s two big guns – Carl Hagelin and Louie Caporusso – both scored for the Wolverines.
Michigan State 5, Minnesota 2: The Spartans scored twice in the first three minutes and looked like they were going to run away with it, but the Gophers fought back with Cade Fairchild and Nick Mattson goals. But Dustin Gazley and Derek Grant sealed it for the Spartans.
North Dakota 6, Notre Dame 3: Jason Gregoire got his 5th and 6th goals of the year, and Corban Knight put in his 8th for the Sioux. Aaron Dell didn’t have impressive numbers early, but ended up with 27 saves.
Merrimack 5, Boston College 3: Cam Atkinson had 2 goals, but Stephane Da Costa had a goal and an assist and Joe Cannata made 24 saves as Merrimack now sits in 3rd place in Hockey East with a game in hand on BC and BU.
