Ahhh, hockey. It’s finally back. There were tons of exhibition games around the world of college hockey yesterday, but there was also one regular season game, and that gets center stage as Lighting The Lamp is back for a 3rd season, hilighting some games (or in this case, the game) from around the country.

Mercyhurst 4, Michigan 4: Michigan jumped out to a 4-0 lead, and led 4-1 after two periods, but 3rd period goals by Taylor Holmstrom, Paul Chiasson, Grant Blakely and Brandon Coccimiglio tied it at 4 and Mercyhurst held on for the first upset of the year. Jordan Tibbett made 22 saves and allowed just 1 goal in relief for the Lakers. Louie Caporusso had the first goal of the season, 14:05 into the game.
