Jackets Sign Goloubef

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed Wisconsin defenseman Cody Goloubef to a three year entry level deal. The Junior was 3-11–14 with a +13 rating for Wisconsin this season. The former 2nd round pick finishes his college career with 12 goals and 37 points. His stats obviously don’t jump out at you but Goloubef is a very responsible stay and home defenseman. He was picked over the highly touted Brendan Smith and Patrick Wiercioch for Canada’s 2009 WJC team which won the gold medal.
