Notre Dame’s Palmieri, Sheahan Arrested

According to the South Bend Tribune, Notre Dame Freshmen Riley Sheahan and Kyle Palmieri were arrested on Sunday on charges of public intoxication. Both Sheahan and Palmieri are underaged.

Palmieri reportedly tried to flee police officers, and wrestled with them once caught. While it is embarrassing for Palmieri, it could cost Sheahan even more as the NHL draft is just two months away, and his stock has already slipped due to a poor finish to the 09-10 campaign. He is ranked 22nd among North American skaters in Central Scouting’s final list, and now could fall out of the first round entirely.

According to the Tribune, Palmieri’s blood alcohol level was .10 and Sheahan’s was .12.
