North Dakota 8, St. Cloud State 1: Mike Lee got yanked after giving up 6 goals in 2 periods, and Dan Dunn gave 2 more up in the third. The Sioux got two goals from Matt Frattin and a goal and two assists from Chris VandeVelde. The Sioux are 4 points off the final home ice playoff series.

Denver 5, Minnesota 1: Joe Colborne had 2 goals, Marc Cheverie had 32 saves, and Denver swept the season series from Minnesota for the first time ever.

Canisius 4, Mercyhurst 2: Cory Conacher had a goal and an assist and Dan Morrison made 37 saves to pull Canisius within one point of Mercyhurst.

Yale 2, Cornell 1 (OT): Colin Greening got the first goal about 7 minutes in, Marc Acobello tied it in the 2nd, and then we waited until OT for Sean Backman to give Yale the win. The Bulldogs are now 1st in ECAC Hockey (although Cornell has  a game in hand). Ben Scrivens had 52 freaking saves.

Boston College 2, Lowell 1: BC’s Brian Gibbons and Lowell’s Scott Campbell traded power play goals, and American hero Chris Kreider scored the game winner in the 3rd to give the Beanpot champs the win over Lowell as BC sits 3 points off the Hockey East lead.

Harvard 4, Union 3: Harvard withstood a frantic Union rally that saw them score the final three goals of the game, including two extra attacker goals in the final minute, but it wasn’t enough as Union had the ECAC lead ripped away from them and they now sit in second with Cornell. Harvard remains in 8th.
