The North Dakota Fighting Sioux went 1-0-1 in the Subway Holiday Classic over the weekend, and a big reason why was Freshman Danny Kristo. A 2nd round pick of the Montreal Canadiens, Kristo had 3 goals an an assist, with 2 of those goals and his assist coming against Miami.

Kristo is now 2nd on the team with 5 goals, and his 13 points are tops on the Sioux. His .93 points per game are tied for 11th in the WCHA as the Freshman is making quite the adjustment to college hockey. His overall point titles will likely suffer as he will be spending some time in Canada for the World Junior Championships, but Kristo is going to be a very good college hockey player, and a good NHLer as well.

His runner up this week was Jesse Fratkin, who had a hat trick and an assist in Brown’s Saturday 8-1 win over Connecticut.
