Minnesota 2, Michigan State 1: Our long national nightmare is over, the Gophers finally have a statement win. After giving up 6 on Friday to Michigan, the Gophers switched to Kent Patterson and he may have taken the job for good as he made 37 saves in the victory. Jordan Schroeder and Mike Carman had the goals for Minnesota.
Miami 5, North Dakota 5: It was just 1-1 after the 1st, but each team exploded in the 2nd, as 6 goals were scored (4 of them by the Sioux). Danny Kristo had 2 goals and an assist, while Ben Blood had his first career goal. Reilly Smith tied it with just over 2 minutes left in the game.
Ohio State 2, Bemidji State 1: Kyle Reed scored just 48 seconds into overtime to give the Buckeyes a big win against Bemidji State, who have to be disappointed with the result after the huge win over Miami. Sean Duddy had 2 assists for the Buckeyes, and Cal Heeter had 20 saves in the win.
Brown 8, Connecticut 1: UConn is one of the worst defensive teams in the country, and they demonstrated that last night. Jesse Fratkin had a hat trick and an assist in the win, and Mike Clemente made 24 saves.
BU 3, Cornell 3: Cornell had built a 3-1 lead after 2 periods but Nick Bonino scored 4 mins into the 3rd, and then an extra attacker PPG goal was scored by Chris Connolly with just over 50 seconds left in regulation. Ben Scrivens made 32 saves for the Big Red.
