Air Force 1, Holy Cross 0: Andrew Volkening made 29 saves and posted his first shutout of the year as Air Force downed the Crusaders 1-0. Matt Fairchild got the only goal.
Army 2, AIC 1: Josh Froese scored a shorthander just 2:19 into the game, but Army rebounded with goals from Cody Omilusik and Mike Hull. Jay Clark made 22 saves for the win.
Michigan State 3, Michigan 2: Presumptive Hobey leader and thug Corey Tropp scored for Michigan State, and Daultan Leveille scored the game winner just 1:05 into the 3rd. Michigan State’s defense held Michigan to just 19 shots.
Yale 4, Cornell 2: Four different Bulldogs (Mark Arcobello, Broc Little, Brendan Mason and Brian O’Neill) scored to give Yale a big home win. Collin Greening had a goal and an assist for the Big Red. Ben Scrivens made 33 saves, including 20 in the first period.
North Dakota 4, St. Cloud 2: David Toews did his best impression of his brother with 2 goals, and Ben Blood had his first career multipoint game by assisting on the first two Sioux goals. Ryan Lasch scored for the Huskies, and Mike Lee actually didn’t play too bad even though he gave up 4 goals. Garrett Roe was suspended but will be back tomorrow night.
Princeton 2, Dartmouth 1: Cam MacIntyre had the game winning goal just 37 seconds into overtime. Each goalie had a good game, per usual, with Princeton’s Alan Reynolds making 23 saves and Dartmouth’s Jordy O’Neill making 39 saves.
Merrimack 6, BU 3: Is this a case of what is wrong with BU, or is Merrimack for real? Partly each I imagine. Joe Cannata made 31 saves and Brandon Brodhag had 2 goals.
