Demetri J. Sakaris, 19, from Candiac, Quebec; Jordan A. Ciccarello, 18, of New Hartford, Conn. and Patrick M. McEachen, 18, of Stouffville, Ontario were all charged with sexual misconduct and child endangerment for their involvement with a 16 year old girl without her consent at a Clarkson hockey camp. According to the Watertown Daily Times the incident happened on the Potsdam, N.Y. campus in July. Sakaris was angling to attend Clarkson starting in the 2011-12 season. McEachen had 13 goals and 39 points for the Stoufville Spirits (OHL) last year, Ciccarello played for South Kent Prep in CT, and Sakaris played for Vaudreuil-Dorion of the QMJHL. Clarkson officials said in a statement they were cooperating with police and conducting their own investigation. The players status with the school is unknown at this time.
Clarkson plays the U of Toronto on October 3rd in its exhibition opener, and then travels to Munn Ice Arena to take on Michigan State on October 9th and 10th.
