I got an e-mail today from Reebok, which an attached press release, stating that the University of North Dakota will be the first college hockey team to wear Reebok. The uniform will be unveiled on Saturday, and they will be wearing it for their exhibition opener vs. the University of Manitoba. Some quotes from the release follow.

"“We are honored to be working with a program that is as respected and storied as the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux men’s ice hockey program,” said Len Rhodes, General Manager, Reebok-CCM Hockey.  “Year after year, they are a contender for a national championship, and we hope that by providing them with Reebok Hockey’s unmatched technology, we can help them stay at the apex of college hockey for years to come.  We also think that the new jersey design will resonate with fans and players alike and will be a welcome update for the team.”"

"“We expect this relationship with Reebok to pay huge dividends,” said Dave Hakstol, Head Coach of the UND men’s hockey team.  “The quality of Reebok’s gear is second to none and they have proved over the years that they have a very deep hockey pedigree.  I am excited to see what they can provide for our players.”"
